Introduction: Permaberry is the designated term for an individual who has the "Permaberry Procedure" done on them. The Permaberry Procedure involves the introduction and synthesis of one of the strains of Fructusgenae Intumescens into the genetic code of the subject. Origin of Fructusgenae Intumescens and Permaberries: The substance Fructusgenae Intumescens originates from an alien fruit known as a Bloatberry. Bloatberries are small, neon yellow, almost grape-shaped berries with hollow tops (similar to those found on Yew Berries), from the planet Lorix 8HW, which have a peculiar effect when eaten. These berries release a biological agent similar to a virus once eaten that reprogram the body's cells to create more of the berry's sweet juice. This causes the affected organisms skin, hair, and/or fur to turn neon yellow like the berry over the course of 5 minutes before causing the next stage of effects.
